The Administrative Systems Project [ASP] is a major project to improve key areas of the University's information infrastructure. The project will undertake a critical evaluation of the quality, structure and availability of data as well as gaps in the functionality of the business systems, which currently underpin Human Resources, Payroll, Finance, and Research Grant management.

The projects objectives are to:

  • Improve data management across business areas involved (Finance, Payroll, Human Resources, Research Grants Management and Procurement);
  • Increase transparency and accessibility of data via a single, simple to use reporting tool in order to improve data quality and integrity i.e. stakeholders can see, and have confidence in, the data they need when they need it;
  • Embed and sustain the skills and knowledge of the new systems and data management processes within the responsible business areas;
  • Add or improve functionality missing from current systems, taking particular account of new system and technology innovations to improve business processes.
